Val Evanoff, MS, RD, APC, is a third-year doctoral student training at Anxiety Specialists of Atlanta. She enjoys working with adolescents (ages 13+) and adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, eating disorders, food and body image concerns, and interpersonal or identity-related concerns. Val integrates evidence-based approaches and techniques of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), tailoring treatment to meet each client’s unique needs and goals. Val has previous clinical experience conducting psychological assessments of children and teens with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD, providing individual and nutrition counseling for teens and adults, and facilitating support groups for individuals recovering from eating disorders.

Val is a Registered Dietitian (RD) and Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (APC), with a BS in Dietetics from Life University (2016) and MS in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling from Georgia State University (2023). She began her Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) program at Mercer University in 2024. Outside of the office, Val enjoys reading, spending time with her three dogs (Harley, Scout, and Dixie) and making (and enjoying) a great cup of coffee. Val is supervised by Dr. Victoria Lawlor.
