Dr. Liya Mammo is a licensed psychologist who specializes in the treatment of obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and anxiety disorders in children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Mammo’s area of expertise includes the treatment of obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders (including social anxiety disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, separation anxiety disorder and specific phobias). Dr. Mammo utilizes evidence-based therapies including Exposure with Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT),
Dr. Mammo began her doctoral training at Nova Southeastern University in 2020, earning her M.S. in Clinical Psychology in 2023 and her Psy.D. in 2025. She completed her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship in OCD and Related disorders at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. Dr. Mammo has worked with individuals across the lifespan and has received training in OCD and anxiety treatments in community mental health and specialized outpatient settings. She strives to have a warm, collaborative, and personalized approach with individuals while using evidence-based techniques.
Dr. Mammo grew up in the Atlanta area but has also lived in Tennessee, Connecticut, Florida, and Texas throughout her career. In her spare time, she enjoys going to concerts, trying new restaurants, and watching reality TV (recommendations are welcome!).
