The Parent-Focused ARFID Group for parents of children and teens with ARFID to learn CBT-interventions to aid their children in approaching feared foods and experiences. Parents will practice each week’s interventions with their children between sessions, and discuss this practice in a supportive group environment. It is being led and facilitated by Dr. Megan Faye, Licensed Psychologist, a recognized ARFID specialist who treats ARFID and presents on the topic locally and nationally.
WHO: This group is for parents/caregivers of children or teens with ARFID located in a PSYPACT state
WHEN: This group will meet for 8 weeks on Fridays from 12:30-2 pm from October 2-November 20
LOCATION: Groups will meet via Zoom. Once you have registered, someone from Anxiety Specialists of Atlanta will contact you to confirm contact and family information and they will provide all meeting details. Payments will take place weekly as the meetings happen through our patient portal even if you miss a session.
COST: The cost of group is $75 per session, and members are expected to attend all groups.
EXCLUSIONS: This group is not for parents of children who are medically compromised due to ARFID.
