SUMMARY:Misophonia Skills Group
DESCRIPTION:This group is a space for adults with misophonia to learn targ
 eted tools for managing sound triggers and related distress. \n\nGroup lea
 der Dr. Megan Faye will teach Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)\, Accepta
 nce and Commitment Therapy (ACT)\, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  skills for managing symptoms of misophonia\, using the latest misophonia 
 treatment research to inform the strategies used. Members will engage in i
 n-session and at-home homework practice to help practice these skills in d
 aily life\, while also collaborating and connecting with other group membe
 rs who relate to their experience of misophonia.\n\nIf you have any questi

 ll meet:\nVirtually via Zoom on Wednesdays from 5:30 pm-7:00 PM (EST) from
  August 12 - September 23. Members are expected to attend all 7 sessions.\
 n\n\nCost: \nEach session will cost $100 (total cost $700)\, paid through 
 weekly through the patient portal.\n\n\nAttendees:\nMust be 18 years or ol
 der and reside in a PSYPACT state. Please note: this group is not an appro
 priate fit for individuals with a history of risk or safety concerns\, sig
