SUMMARY:Case Consultation for Body-focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs) and
  Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
DESCRIPTION:Case Consultation and clinical training using COMB\, CBT\, ACT\
 , Collaborative Coaching and related research-supported interventions for 
 Body-focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs) and Attention Deficit Hyperactiv
 ity Disorder (ADHD).\nDr. Chris Noble (Director of Clinical Services at An
 xiety Specialists of Atlanta) is a proud member of the BFRB and ADHD commu
 nity herself and the proud owner of her own neurodivergent brain. She is a
 lso the parent of a gifted fabulous and quirky ADHD child\, and brings sci
 ence\, practice and personal passion to the consultative process.\nClinici
 ans and clients will receive support and consultation with individualized 
 guidance from a specialist in the treatment of BFRBs and ADHD/Executive Fu
 nctioning concerns across the lifespan. Consultations focus on treating cl
 ients from evidence-based approaches\, such as:\n\n\n 	Comprehensive Behav
 ioral Model (COMB)\n 	Parent coaching and Training\n 	Cognitive-Behavioral
  Therapy\n 	Acceptance and Commitment Therapy\, and\n 	related research-su
 pported interventions specific to these conditions.\n\nThis includes infor
 mation on assessments and diagnosis of BFRBs and ADHD\, review of non-psyc
 hological diagnostic considerations for symptoms of BFRBs and ADHD and app
 ropriate referrals\, recommendations for building a treatment team\, case 
 conceptualization\, psychoeducation on treatment modalities\, and treatmen
 t planning.\nBFRB consultations are offered for:\n\n\n 	parent training fo
 r children (2+)\n 	how to conduct individual therapy with parent training 
 or co-therapy with parents and children with BFRBs\n 	building protocols a
 nd structuring environments for facilitating BFRB recovery\n 	working with
  adolescents and teens with adjunctive parent support\, and\n 	working wit
 h adults with BFRBs (including and incorporative spousal or recovery suppo
 rters\, if indicated).\n\nSuggestions and treatment planning for treating 
 at the intersection of BFRBs\, Executive Functioning concerns\, and co-occ
 urring anxiety or OCD-related disorders can also be an area of focus.\nCon
 sultations for ADHD and Executive Functioning concerns can focus on:\n\n\n
  	parent training and coaching for ADHD children and teens\n 	failure-to-l
 aunch young adults\, and\n 	individual coaching for teens through adults t
 hat expands past “tricks and tips coaching” to including usage of func
 tional analysis and application of driving and restraining forces which gu
 ides effective treatment planning and therapy.\n\nLearn and practice a wid
 e range of cognitive and behavioral strategies for ADHD\, including provid
 ing engaging psychoeducation\, tailoring interventions and experiments\, c
 ognitive restructuring\, distress tolerance\, mindfulness and acceptance-b
 ased approaches for navigating therapy with ADHD’rs.\n\nAdditionally\, c
 onsultations will assist clinicians in coaching and professional developme
 nt around minority stress models of neurodiversity and competent and ethic
 al care\, assisting clients in working with the challenges of having an AD
 HD brain\, as well as assisting therapists in becoming a neurodiversity-ce
 lebrating cheerleaders to clients with differently wired brains\, helping 
 them unlock their omnipotential and supporting them as they build valued\,
  interest-based and importance-based lives.
